Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about OPEXIA, Classic TPM vs the OpEx model, pillar and phase methods, scale, roles, grupas.ai, licensing, setup, language and export.

What is OPEXIA?+
OPEXIA is a multi-project web application for managing TPM and operational excellence programs: it opens a project with a ready roadmap for each customer, keeps pillar steps, master plan, Gantt, team, activities and budget in one place, tracks actual progress and highlights delays with grupas.ai.
How does Classic TPM differ from the OpEx model?+
Classic TPM follows the JIPM standard: a 5S foundation and 8 pillars (autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, focused improvement, quality maintenance, early management, education and training, office TPM, SHE). The OpEx model was developed by Grupas: an infrastructure area plus five workstreams, 6 in total. Each project uses the one that fits the plant's maturity.
What is the difference between the pillar and phase methods?+
With the pillar method, the plan is built on each pillar's step ladder. With the phase method, the plan follows stages: JIPM's 4 stages and 12 steps for Classic TPM, Phase-0 (Preparation) to Phase-4 (Benchmark) for OpEx.
What is the scale for?+
Every activity has separate durations for small, medium and large scale. When the scale on the company card changes, the project's durations and Gantt draft are recalculated from these values.
What does the customer team see?+
There are three roles: the Grupas Administrator manages the whole portfolio; Grupas Consultants and Customer Employees see only the projects they are assigned to and their own tasks. Whether grupas.ai is open to the customer team is set per project.
What does grupas.ai do?+
It draws automatic findings from the project data: overdue actions, actions that should have started, late finishes, activities past their date and lagging pillars. When the AI commentary feature is activated as part of your license and setup, it interprets the situation and answers your questions; per task, it suggests Grupas team assignments by competency and calendar. It uses only the data of the project concerned; the final decision is your team's.
Which license models are available? What are the prices?+
Monthly subscription, annual subscription, purchase (perpetual license) and a project license for Grupas projects. Pricing depends on the license model and the number of users and projects — contact us through the demo / quote form.
Does it need installation?+
No. OPEXIA runs in the browser; a separate environment and a separate database are prepared by Grupas for each customer.
What language is the application in?+
The OPEXIA interface is in Turkish. Project content (pillars, steps, activities) can be shown in Turkish or English, and the methodology guide is bilingual. This website is in four languages; let's discuss any other language need in the demo call.
Can I export the data?+
Yes. The master plan downloads as a CSV file with code, pillar, action, owner, KPI, phase, status, priority, progress, planned and actual dates, man-days, budget and owners.
How can I get a demo?+
Fill in the demo / quote form; we will get back to you and schedule a live walkthrough with a sample TPM program.
